LUBRECHT EXPERIMENTAL FORREST
NORDIC DANCE INVITATIONAL
The Nordic Dance Invitational Ski Race consists of a 500m, 1k , 5k skate, 10k skate, 5k classic, 40k relay and 20k skate ski race for all ages and abilities, held at Lubrecht Experimental Forest in Greenough, MT! Why is it called the Nordic Dance Invitational, you ask? All skiers who complete a group a dance (2 or more people) receive the Nordic Dance package of stunner shades. encouraged to cheer on local junior racers as they dip their toes in ski competitions, and fun, silly dances!
SCHEDULE
9:00am - Check in opens (open all day)
9:30am - 1km (2 laps) - skate or classic & 1 lap (500 meters, 7 and under)
*Wave 1 - 1k *Wave 2 - 500m
10:15am - 5km (1 lap) - skate mass start - Age groups: U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, U18, U20, 20-35, 36-45, 46-64, 65+
*Wave 1 - fast *Wave 2 - intermediate *Wave 3 - beginner
11:15am - 10km (2 laps) - skate mass start - Age groups: U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, U18, U20, 20-35, 36-45, 46-64, 65+
*Wave 1 - fast *Wave 2 - intermediate *Wave 3 - beginner
12:30pm - 5km (1 lap) - classic mass start - Age groups: U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, U18, U20, 20-35, 36-45, 46-64, 65+
*Wave 1 - fast *Wave 2 - intermediate *Wave 3 - beginner
1:30pm - 20km - skate mass start - Age groups: U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, U18, U20, 20-35, 36-45, 46-64, 65+
*Wave 1 - fast *Wave 2 - intermediate *Wave 3 - beginner
1:30pm - 40km - Badwax Relay - 1 skate, 1 classic (in that order, 1 lap per) - one timing chip
*All podiums after each event
*All dances after each podium
*Final dances can be repeated again if desired at 3pm BBQ
FUN STUFF:
- lunch included with registration and served 11:30 - 5pm
- top 3 podiums for all ages within distances - medals
- group dances organized and after each event
